It is a strong growing onion, suitable for cultivation under glass and in the open ground, with good skin firmness, which means it can be stored for a long time. Snowball has a good tolerance to bolting and can also be harvested as a spring onion in winter and spring. Its mild, sweet flavour makes it perfect for cold preparations.
