leek with cheese and bacon pasta (serves 4)
A fun and very easy to prepare winter pasta with leek fresh from the vegetable garden, everyone will love it!
Ingredients :
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 300g leek , halved and finely chopped
- 8 strips of breakfast bacon, cut into pieces
- 400g pasta (penne, spaghetti, ...)
- 100g cheese with garlic and herbs (type Boursin, Philadelphia or homemade)
Method:
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan
- Add the leek with two tablespoons of water and stew for 10 minutes until the leek is quite soft. In the meantime, fry the bacon in a second pan until crispy and add it to the leek .
- Boil the pasta until it is done. Drain the pasta, reserving a cup of cooking water.
- Spoon the cheese together with half a cup of cooking water into the leek and bacon.
- Then mix everything well together until the cheese has melted.
- Season with pepper (salt may not be necessary because of the salted bacon)
- Now add your pasta to the leek , bacon and cheese. Add the other half of the cooking liquid if necessary until the sauce sticks well to the pasta.
