Currant tree amelanchier canadensis . 'Prince William' - 2 liter pot
Versatile tree with edible berries of approximately 1 cm in size. The berries are juicy and sweet and can be eaten fresh or processed into jam, wine, liqueur and many other dishes and preparations. You can also dry the berries and use them as currants, hence the name currant tree. The leaves can also be used to make tea and even the flowers are edible and can be used as a decorative element when dressing dishes.
The plant has an upright growth habit and can grow up to 7 meters high. It is therefore important to prune it well if you want to keep it smaller.
