Low stem 80cm high - 5 litre pot. The Aprimera plum tree is an attractive choice for any garden, renowned for its sweet, juicy plums with a deep red colour. This tree grows to a medium size and provides an abundant harvest of tasty fruit from August onwards. Aprimera plums are excellent for fresh consumption and canning. The tree grows best in well-drained, fertile soil and requires a sunny position for optimum fruit set. Regular pruning in winter will help keep the tree healthy and increase production. Although Aprimera is self-pollinating, planting other plum varieties nearby can improve yield. Ideal for both small and large gardens.

Low stem means that the tree is grafted onto a slow growing rootstock, which means that the trees bear fruit faster and grow less tall. The advantages of this are that they are suitable for smaller (vegetable) gardens, so that you can grow more varieties in the same space. It is also handy that you can harvest easily, safely and without a long ladder.

In the fall, the soil is still warm and moist, which means the trees will take root well in the soil. Plants that are planted in the fall have a better developed root system than plants that are planted in the spring. They will also grow better and can better withstand periods of drought. Because the trees are delivered in pots, they can be planted all year round.
