Kiwiberry (Actinidia arguta 'Issai') ORGANIC - 2 liter pot

With its beautiful leaves and edible fruit, this kiwi berry is a must-have for any garden. The kiwi berry is a climbing vine and produces soft-skinned fruits the size of a grape. The plant is self-pollinating, and the flowers are delightfully fragrant in the garden; you can easily be drawn to them by their delightful aroma. The berries usually hang beneath the canopy. This variety doesn't need pruning as often as other kiwi berry varieties. The plant is fairly disease-resistant.

Key Features

  • Harvest: September-October
  • Taste: sweet
  • Thorns: no
  • Location: sunny
  • Self-pollinating: yes
  • Cultivation method: support with wire/fencing
  • Height on delivery: 30-40 cm (without pot)

Tips and care:

  • Planting: September to March, later is also possible, but keep in mind that you'll need to provide extra water in warm weather because the roots aren't yet well established. This climber needs something to climb on.
  • Pruning : requires little pruning in the first few years. After a few years, cut back older branches to encourage new, fruiting branches.
  • Open ground or pots: you can grow all soft fruit in pots; the larger the pot, the better they will do. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in the open ground.
