Vitis vinifera Muscat Bleu is a Swiss variety that produces blue-black grapes. This variety produces very sweet berries with a muscat grape flavour. Muscat Bleu is interesting because of its low susceptibility to diseases, with a very low susceptibility to powdery mildew and grey rot, and a relatively good resistance to mildew. The relatively thick skin offers some protection against wasps.

Muskat Bleu grapes grow well in ordinary but fairly fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.

The grapes are ready for consumption quite early, sometimes as early as the end of August.

This grape plant can be grown on a freestanding fence or pergola, provided it is protected from the wind. The autumn leaves are not red, but yellow!

Plant this shrub in spring or autumn in compost-rich, well-drained soil and leave sufficient space around the plant. Flowers in June and can be harvested in September.

Height of plants including pot = 80-100 cm
