Salsify - Gratinated with Curry

Ingredients:
  • 1 kilo salsify
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 sachet of curry sauce
  • 4 stalks of celery leaves
  • 1 outing
  • 100 g coarsely grated Maaslander.
Method:
  • Peel the salsify under cold water. Cut them into pieces of approx. 5 cm.
  • Boil them in plenty of water with a tablespoon of milk for about 25 minutes until done.
  • Heat the grill to the highest setting. Make the curry sauce with the milk according to the instructions on the package.
  • Fry the onions and add them to the curry sauce and finely chop the celery on top.
  • Drain the salsify and place in a baking dish. Pour the sauce over it.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and grill until golden brown in about 5 minutes. Delicious with boiled potatoes and pork tenderloin.
