Radar is a reliable and early variety for autumn planting, known for its high yield and golden-brown bulbs with a strong skin and excellent storage qualities. Radar performs well in cold winters and has good bolting resistance.

Planting period : From September to October
- Planting distance : : Plant them in rows 30 cm apart and 10 cm between the plants.
- Planting depth : Plant the onion so that the top just emerges in sandy soil, and plant it slightly higher in clay soil (with the top and 0.5 cm of the onion remaining above). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Tarred compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
- Harvest : August
