An early ripening seeded grape also known as 'Island Belle'. This grape ripens and has been grown for many years in the Pacific Northwest where Concord does not get the heat to ripen. Originating in Arkansas in 1892, it is a large purple grape with a slippery skin. Enjoy the rich, sweet and strong Concord flavor for use in jellies, juices and wines.
Plant this shrub in spring or autumn in compost-rich, well-drained soil and leave sufficient space around the plant. Flowers in June and can be harvested in September.
