Gladiolus 'Rose Supreme'

The Gladiolus 'Rose Supreme' brings a romantic and classic atmosphere to the summer garden. This large-flowered gladiolus is known for its grand, soft pink bloom with a subtle, lighter center. Its robust stems grow gracefully upwards and carry numerous buds that open sequentially, allowing you to enjoy an elegant sea of flowers for weeks on end. These high-quality gladiolus bulbs (size 12/14) provide the perfect base for a full border and, thanks to their soft color, are a great favorite for pastel-colored cut flower bouquets in a vase.

Tips and care

• Planting: plant the gladiolus bulbs in spring (March to May) as soon as the frost has passed. Choose a sunny, warm spot with well-drained soil and plant them about 10 cm deep.

• Maintenance: provide sufficient water during dry spells, especially when the flower buds are developing. Because the stems with their large flowers can become heavy, light support is recommended in windy areas.

• Overwintering: gladioli are not frost-hardy. Dig up the bulbs before winter, let them dry thoroughly, and store them in a dry, frost-free place until the following spring.

• Open ground or pots: shines beautifully in groups in open ground at the back of the border, but can also be planted in large, deep patio pots.
