Helichrysum italicum, also known as curry spice or turmeric spice, is a fragrant, organic plant with silvery-grey, narrow foliage and a strong, spicy scent. The flowers are yellow and when dried they retain their colour and scent, making them perfect for making dried bouquets or fragrant sachets. This hardy plant likes a sunny position and well-drained, dry soil. Immortelle grows to a height of around 40 cm and is an excellent addition to gardens and pots.
