Laurus nobilis, better known as edible bay laurel, is a versatile and aromatic plant used to season soups, stews, sauces and meat dishes. The glossy, dark green leaves have a strong scent and flavour. This organic plant is hardy and can grow in pots as well as in the ground. Bay laurel likes a sunny to slightly shady location and well-drained soil. The plant reaches a height of 1 to 2 metres and is ideal for both culinary and decorative purposes in the garden.
