Tips and care

• Planting: are you going to plant these lily bulbs? Do so in the spring (March to May) or in the autumn. Plant the bulbs about 10 to 15 cm deep in nutritious, well-draining soil in a sunny to lightly shaded spot.

• Maintenance: ensure moderately moist soil during growth and flowering. Remove the flowers as soon as they have finished blooming so that the plant retains its energy for the bulb.

• Overwintering: this Asiatic lily is excellently hardy. Allow the foliage and stems to die back naturally after flowering before cutting them back short.

• Garden soil or pots: looks beautiful in groups in the border and is also excellent for planting in deep pots or containers for the balcony or terrace.
