French Anemone 'St. Brigid' (Anemone coronaria 'St. Brigid') - 15 pieces

The Anemone coronaria 'St. Brigid' is a romantic and rich addition to the garden. Unlike the single-flowered 'De Caen' varieties, the 'St. Brigid' stands out for its beautiful, double-flowered (full) blooms in a cheerful mix of red, pink, purple, blue, and white. The fine, almost dahlia-like petals surrounding the dark center give this French anemone a lush appearance. With these quality bulbs (size 5/6), you will enjoy a festive sea of color in the border that also makes for fantastic picking for a beautiful summer bouquet.

Tips and care

• Planting: soak the tubers in a bowl of lukewarm water for about 12 hours before planting so they can absorb water. Plant them in the spring (March to May) for summer blooms, or in the autumn (September to October) for early spring blooms. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil and plant them about 5 cm deep.

• Maintenance: water regularly during growth and bud formation, but ensure the soil does not remain too wet. Picking flowers regularly encourages the plant to continue producing new buds.

• Overwintering: Anemone coronaria is moderately hardy. For autumn plantings, cover the soil well with a layer of leaves, straw, or compost during cold winters.

• Ground or pots: very suitable for the edge of the border, rock gardens, and as lush filler in decorative pots and balcony planters.
