Tips and care

• Planting: soak the tubers in a bowl of lukewarm water for about 12 hours before planting so they can hydrate. Plant them in spring (March to May) for summer blooms, or in autumn (September to October) for early spring blooms. Choose a sunny spot in well-drained soil and plant them about 5 cm deep.

• Maintenance: water regularly during growth and bud formation, but avoid keeping the soil too wet. Regularly picking flowers stimulates the production of new buds.

• Overwintering: Anemone coronaria is moderately hardy. For autumn planting, cover the soil well with a layer of leaves, straw, or compost during periods of frost.

• Ground or pots: very versatile and perfectly suited for borders, rock gardens, and as colorful filling in decorative pots on the patio or balcony.
