Planting period: From September to October
- Planting distance: Plant them in rows 30 cm apart with 10 cm between the plants.
- Planting depth: Plant the onion so the tip is just visible in sandy soil, and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the tip and another 0.5 cm of the onion above the surface). Plant them in this year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Composted manure is fine, but avoid fresh manure.
- Harvest: June-July
