• Planting period: From September to October
  
• Planting distance: Place them in rows 30 cm apart with 10 cm between the plants.
• Planting depth: Plant the onion so that the tip is just visible in sandy soil and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the tip and another 0.5 cm of the onion above ground). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Well-rotted compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
• Harvest: June-July
