Organically certified shallot 'Longor' - 250 gram bag

The Longor shallot, often known as the French shallot, is known for its pink color and spicy flavor, similar to the red shallot. A 1 kg bag contains approximately 40 long shallots, each 30-45 mm in size.

This shallot thrives in all soil types, preferring humus-rich sandy and loamy soils that are not too wet. Fertilization can be done in the same way as with onions. The Sjalor Longor is ideal for those looking for shallots with a distinctive flavor and good growth results.

• Planting period : September to October
  
• Planting distance : plant them in rows 30 cm apart and 15 cm between the plants.
• Planting depth : Plant the shallot so that the tip just emerges in sandy soil, and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the tip and 0.5 cm of the shallot remaining above). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Tarred compost is fine; avoid fresh manure.
• Harvest : July to August
