Pea seeds

With pea seeds, you can bring spring into your vegetable garden. The plants grow quickly, flower gracefully, and produce bunches full of sweet, fresh peas. They taste best fresh from the pod. Give them some support with a trellis or netting, and they'll climb happily. A vegetable garden classic that always brings joy and a bountiful harvest.

Growing guide for growing peas

There are two types of pea seeds offered. We offer low and high varieties. The advantage of a low pea variety is that the plants do not need climbing support.

High peas do need a climbing support, in the form of a support net or brushwood. The yield is slightly higher, harvesting is easier and after a rain shower the plants dry up faster.

Pea seeds can be sown between January and early May.

How do you grow peas from seed?

It is good to plan a bit with peas. They can be sown in two weekly intervals. This way you can spread the harvest and harvest longer (from mid-May to the end of July).

Another important tip: do not overwater your direct sowing seeds, peas do not like wet feet and could rot.

If you want to pre-sow early in the year, deeproot trays are ideal.
