Plants & care for optimal yield
- Planting time – from September to March (not in heavy frost).
- Position – full sun or light partial shade in airy, nutritious soil.
- Planting distance – 100–150 cm between bushes.
- Water – water regularly, especially in the first year.
- Pruning – remove old branches in winter, keep young shoots.
Picking, tasting and storing
- Harvest – June to July, depending on the variety.
- Uses – fresh, in yoghurt, as jam, syrup or in pastries.
