Loganerry ( Rubus loganobaccus - raspberry/blackberry cross) - 2 liter jar

The is a delicious cross between a blackberry and a raspberry. This plant has light thorns and grows long branches that can be trained well along a fence. Make sure the berries are fully ripe before picking them, otherwise they can be sour.

You can eat loganberries fresh or use them to make jam, juice or wine. They are full of healthy substances. The plant does well in full sun, but also grows in half shade.

• Planting: September to March (not in severe frost), after that it is also possible, but keep in mind that you will have to give extra water in warm weather because the roots are not yet properly established.
• Pruning : The loganberry should be pruned in the fall. Remove the old fruiting stems, which are the branches that bore fruit in the previous season. These branches will not produce new fruit and are best removed. Also check the support and make sure the branches are well attached to the trellis or supports. This helps the plant to remain upright and ensures that the fruit is properly borne.
• Open ground or pots: You can grow all soft fruit in pots, the bigger the pot the better they will do. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in the open ground.
