Spinach 'Renegade F1' BIO

Spinach 'Renegade F1' can be grown all season long, and after 6 weeks it already has good leaf quality full of aroma. This variety is also suitable for growing baby leaf. One bag is for approximately 3 m2, and the planting distance is 15x3 cm.

Spinach 'Renegade F1' can be grown all season, but is particularly suitable for winter and early spring cultivation. After approx. 6 weeks, the crop already has a lot of mass and excellent leaf quality. It can then be harvested as a whole by cutting the plant just above the ground. It can be stored for up to two weeks under cool, moist conditions. Yellowing of the leaves of spinach can be caused by a magnesium and/or nitrogen deficiency. Be careful, however, because an excess of nitrogen causes excess nitrates to accumulate in the leaves. This makes the spinach less healthy. Saving seeds

Store seeds in a cool, dry and dark place, such as a sealed box in a cupboard. Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and use them before that time. If the packaging has been opened, make sure it is sealed properly and check the germination capacity before use.

You can easily test the germination capacity of seeds with a germination test :

  1. Place a few seeds (for example 10) on a damp piece of kitchen paper.
  2. Fold the paper towel closed and place it in a plastic bag or place it in a sealed container.
  3. Place it in a warm place, such as on the windowsill.
  4. After a few days, check to see if the seeds have started to germinate.
