This chicory growing set contains almost everything you need to easily grow your own chicory at home. The set consists of a bag with approximately 50 chicory roots and a practical growing tray. You only need to provide a bag of sowing and cutting soil (10L) .

Place the roots in the growing tray, put it in a dark and cool place, and after a few weeks you will harvest delicious, crispy chicory heads. Perfect for beginners and experienced gardeners alike, and ideal for enjoying fresh, home-grown chicory all season long. Enjoy the taste and convenience of this set!

This growing tray can hold approximately 50 chicory roots. Of course, you can also use less, so you can be sure that the chicory has plenty of room to grow. Store the roots that you are not using yet in a cool, dark and especially airy place. You can then use these for a second planting.

Chicory roots are a natural product. In order to grow high-quality chicory, they are stored in the refrigerator for 14 days after harvesting. We have already done this for you. The foliage that is still on the root dies off and becomes a bit slimy. Before you plant these roots, you must cut the foliage to 2-3 cm and remove the dead leaves. The photos show chicory roots that have already been cut. The roots are harvested and cut mechanically. As a result, the roots are not all the same length or thickness. Delicious chicory will also grow on the shorter roots.
