In summer, the beautiful flowers of this raspberry turn into beautiful yellow fruits. These yellow raspberries are slightly more delicate in taste than the well-known red raspberries and are ideal for jam, desserts, or just to eat straight from the hand. You can grow this variety both in the open ground and in large pots.

Raspberries are known for their tendency to 'spread' by producing many new root shoots under the ground. If you find this to be a problem, you can either create a root barrier in the soil or dig up the new shoots each year and throw them on the compost heap, or distribute the cuttings.

• Planting: September to March (not in severe frost), after that it is also possible, but keep in mind that you will have to give extra water in warm weather because the roots are not yet properly established.
• Pruning : The summer raspberry should be pruned in the fall. Remove the old fruiting stems, which are the branches that bore fruit in the previous season. These branches will not produce new fruit and are best removed. Also check the support and make sure that the branches are well attached to the trellis or supports. This helps the plant to remain upright and ensures that the fruit is properly borne.
