Lemon verbena is an aromatic perennial shrub with fine, green leaves and a strong lemon scent. The leaves are delicious in herbal teas, desserts, cocktails, or as a refreshing flavoring in all sorts of dishes. Small, inconspicuous flowers appear in summer, attracting bees and other beneficial insects.

The plant grows compactly and can reach a height of 80–120 cm, making it also suitable for pots, borders or the herb garden.

Plant in a sunny spot in well-drained, fertile soil. Water regularly during dry periods and prune lightly in spring to promote compact, healthy growth. Frost protection may be necessary in cold winters. Easy to care for and fragrant.

Sometimes the pot may seem empty, but don't worry: the strong roots are alive and will ensure the plant sprouts vigorously again in spring.
