General information about the vine variety Divico:

Divico is a new Swiss grape variety created by Agroscope with a high resistance to mildew, powdery mildew and grey rot (botrytis). Thanks to the loose bunches, the sweet blue grapes are less affected by fungal diseases. Its additional assets are the average growth and a good fruit setting. Suitable for pergolas, trellises or on a stand. Good as a wine or table grape.

Loose bunches of sweet, blue grapes.

Resistance variety Divico:

Very high resistance to mildew, powdery mildew and grey rot (botrytis).

Wine :

Divico grapes need to be harvested late. This long ripening period is facilitated by the fact that the bunches of grapes are not too compact and hang very firmly on the vine. With its high degree of ripeness, Divico can produce wines with a rich color and good quality tannins. It also has an interesting aromatic personality that points to a promising future as a varietal or blended wine.

Preparation of vine variety Divico:

Put your vine in a bucket of water for 24 hours. This way it can suckle itself full again before planting out.

Ground preparation :

You can improve your soil with lava grit (if lime soil) or with bentonite and lava flour (if sandy soil).

Planting out :

Make a hole with a diameter of 10 cm and +/- 30 cm deep with a ground drill or spade. And plant the vine with the graft just above the ground. The vine may come out of the ground between 5 and 10 cm. Plant your vines between May 1 and May 15 and leave 1 meter between the plants and 1.5 to 1.8 meters between the rows.
