White Plant Garlic 'Messidore' (softneck) BIO

Organic certified plant garlic Messidore (softneck) - bag of 250 grams

Messidore originates from Northern Italy and is the best known of the varieties that can be planted in both autumn and spring. Messidore produces round bulbs with a white colour and a strong skin. Each bulb contains approximately 12 to 15 purple coloured cloves. The variety can be grown on any type of soil.

Softneck garlic seed potatoes are well adapted to our milder climate and are popular because they can be stored for longer.

  • Planting period: In open ground, March - April to mid-November
  •  Planting distance: 15 cm between plants, 25 cm between rows
  •  Planting depth: 5 to 10 cm deep (if the soil is loose, the garlic can be planted deeper)
  •  Harvest time: End of June to mid-August

Approximately 4-5 balls per 250 gram bag.
