Onion 'Stuttgarter' BIO

Organically certified onion or onion Stuttgarter - bag of 250 grams

Stuttgarter is a classic and reliable plant onion variety, loved for its round, slightly flattened onions with a golden brown skin. This onion is known for its firm texture and mild, slightly spicy flavour, ideal for a wide range of dishes, from raw in salads to fried or stewed in hot meals.

Stuttgarter is easy to grow and produces a high yield. The onions have excellent storage properties, which makes them last a long time after harvest. A perfect choice for both hobby gardeners and professional growers looking for a versatile and tasty onion!

  •  Planting period : From March to April
  •  Planting distance : Plant them in rows 30 cm apart and 10 cm between the plants.
  •  Planting depth : Plant the onion so that the top is just above in sandy soil and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the top and 0.5 cm of the onion above). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Tarred compost is fine, avoid fresh manure.
  •  Harvest : July to August
