The Mesclun 'Puur Sla' can be grown from spring to late summer. We advise harvesting when the young plants are 10cm high. You can harvest up to three times. One bag is for approximately 10m2, and the planting distance is 15x2cm.
Mesclun 'Puur Sla' is a colourful lettuce mixture of the varieties 'Red Salad Bowl', 'Suzan', Lettuce 'Wonder der Vier Jaargetijden' and 'Little Leprechaun'. This mix can be grown from spring until late summer as a baby leaf. Has a mild flavour. Harvest young, when the plants are approximately 10 cm high. If you cut the young plants above the growing point, you can harvest them up to three times. Keep 15 cm between the rows. Sow at 1 cm in the row and thin out later to 2-3 cm. You also get a nice dense crop that is easy to cut into bundles by mixing the seeds with some sand or sugar and sowing them in a row. You don't have to thin them out then. Harvest: after approximately 3 to 4 weeks. TIP: very suitable as a baby leaf (sowing period: April-July)!
