White cabbage 'Impala F1' BIO

White cabbage 'Impala F1' is a productive and uniform variety that is easy to harvest and is well protected against diseases. This storage cabbage is snow-white on the inside and has an open green leaf. One bag is for approximately 15 m2, and the planting distance is 70x60 cm.

'Impala F1' is a white cabbage that, as they say, 'stands high on the stem'. This not only means that the cabbage is easier to harvest, but also that it is better protected against diseases. It is a very healthy, productive and uniform variety that requires little care, partly because of its good resistance to thrips. The weight of a mature 'Impala F1' cabbage head varies from 2.5 to 4 kilos. Harvesting young improves the storage quality. The storage period for this cabbage is medium. For a good yield, it may be wise to fertilise a few times during cultivation. Saving seeds

Store seeds in a cool, dry and dark place, such as a sealed box in a cupboard. Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and use them before that time. If the packaging has been opened, make sure it is sealed properly and check the germination capacity before use.

You can easily test the germination capacity of seeds with a germination test :

  1. Place a few seeds (for example 10) on a damp piece of kitchen paper.
  2. Fold the paper towel closed and place it in a plastic bag or place it in a sealed container.
  3. Place it in a warm place, such as on the windowsill.
  4. After a few days, check to see if the seeds have started to germinate.
