Mandarin (Citrus reticulata 'Changsha') - 2-liter pot

The 'Changsha' mandarin is a hardy citrus fruit that can withstand temperatures down to -15ºC. This makes it an excellent choice for cultivation in the Netherlands and Belgium. This self-pollinating mandarin tree reaches a height of 2-3 meters in the ground, but also thrives in pots, where it remains smaller. The sweet fruits ripen between September and December.

This citrus tree likes full sun and needs well-drained soil, as it does not tolerate wet feet.

Key Features

  • Harvest period: September-December
  • Taste: sweet
  • Location: full sun
  • Height: 2-3 m
  • Planting distance: 2-3 m

Tips and care:

  • Planting: Because the trees are delivered in pots, they can be planted year-round. It's best to plant in the fall, when the soil is still warm and moist, allowing the trees to take root well. Plants planted in the fall have a more developed root system than those planted in the spring.
  • Organic/non-organic: This plant material comes from a small-scale grower without an official organic certificate. But don't worry, we're certain it's pesticide-free.
