Plant shallot 'Biztro' BIO

Organically certified shallots Biztro - bag of 250 grams

Biztro is a relatively new shallot variety in the early segment and originally comes from the Netherlands. Compared to other red shallot varieties, Biztro excels on all fronts. The variety produces very uniform, round shallots with a very strong and beautiful red/brown colored skin. Biztro is also called the improved Red Sun. Furthermore, the variety can be grown on any type of soil and is suitable for long-term storage.

  •  Planting period : From March to April
  •  Planting distance : : Plant them in rows 30 cm apart and 15 cm between the plants.
  •  Planting depth : Plant the shallot so that the top is just above in sandy soil and plant them slightly higher in clay soil (with the top and 0.5 cm of the shallot above). Plant them in the current year's potato bed in loose, well-drained soil. Tarred compost is fine, avoid fresh manure.
  •  Harvest : July-August

Approximately 10 pieces per 250 gram bag.
