Chrysopa larvae (lacefly larvae)
Chrysopa larvae control aphids, mealybugs, woolly red aphids, beech aphids, spider mites, thrips and small caterpillars. Use 20 larvae per m² for low crops and 50 larvae for a small tree or shrub. For hedges: use 20 larvae per running meter. Chrysopa is supplied in a tube with 500 or 1000 larvae and buckwheat flakes, including spreading boxes. The contents can easily be scattered directly onto the leaves or into the boxes with a scoop. This is a living product that must be used immediately upon receipt and cannot be returned. It is a powerful, biological solution against common pests.

How do you use Chrysopa larvae?
The larvae are supplied in a tube with buckwheat flakes. Sprinkle these on the affected leaves or place them in bioboxes or filter bags if leaves are too small or smooth. Larvae remain active for 2 to 3 weeks, after which they pupate. Tip: hang many small doses rather than one large one. Use approximately 5 tablespoons of buckwheat flakes per biobox or filter bag.

How much do I need?
This depends on the size of your plants and the severity of the infestation. Some guidelines:

• Trees: 50–500 larvae per tree, depending on trunk diameter
• Hedges: 20 larvae per linear metre in case of light infestation
• Vegetable garden: 20 larvae per m², double in case of heavy infestation
• Houseplants: 5–20 larvae per plant

• Preferably release larvae on the day of receipt
• Can be stored for max. 2–3 days in the refrigerator at 8°C
• Only set out in dry, windless weather
• Avoid spraying insecticides before or during deployment
• Remove ants! They protect aphids and attack the Chrysopa larvae

The larvae are small and shy of light. They hide between the buckwheat flakes. You rarely see them when spreading, but they get to work right away.
