How to sow radish seeds?
Sow all seeds very thinly, with minimal spacing, depending on the harvest time of each variety. For summer varieties, allow 3 cm between each seed, spaced 15 cm apart, while winter varieties should be spaced 15 cm apart, with 25 cm between rows. Radishes thrive in well-drained, stone-free soil dug with well-rotted compost (assuming no manure has been used in a previous crop). A sunny spot with some shade is ideal for radishes, making them perfect fillers between other crops.
When will your radishes be ready?
Harvest your summer radishes when they're about the diameter of a 50-cent coin, and winter varieties in November when they've reached the desired size. Don't leave winter radishes out too long, as they'll become woody.
