Lily 'Black Ship' (Lilium 'Black Ship') - 5 pieces

The Lily 'Black Ship' is an impressive Asiatic lily that brings a touch of mystery and drama to your garden. This vigorous lily plant is known for its exceptionally deep, velvety dark red to almost black color. Each lily flower holds its cup-shaped petals proudly upward, creating a beautiful contrast with other summer bloomers. Since these Asiatic lily flowers have little to no scent, this variety is also extremely suitable for those sensitive to strong floral fragrances and is ideal as a long-lasting cut flower in a vase.

Tips and care

• Planting: would you like to plant these lily bulbs? Do this in the spring (March to May) or in the autumn. Plant the bulbs about 10 to 15 cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny spot.

• Maintenance: keep the soil moderately moist during the growth and flowering period.
Remove faded flowers so that the plant can store all its energy in the bulb.

• Overwintering: Asiatic lilies are excellent at wintering in the open ground. Let the stems die back completely at the end of the season before cutting them short.

• Open ground or pots: looks beautiful in groups in the border, but is also very easy to plant in deep patio pots.
