Abyssinian Gladiolus (Gladiolus callianthus 'Murielae') 10 pieces

An atmospheric and elegantly flowering summer bloomer with sleek, snow-white star-shaped flowers and a striking, deep purple heart. The Gladiolus callianthus 'Murielae' (also known as the Abyssinian gladiolus or fragrant gladiolus) brings a delicious, sweet scent to your garden or patio. These strong gladiolus bulbs (bulb size 8/10) grow into slender, sturdy stems with graceful, sword-shaped green leaves, which beautifully showcase the elegant gladiolus flower. Thanks to its refined appearance, this is one of the most popular summer bloomers for borders, flower pots, and as a fragrant cut flower in a vase.

Tips and care

• Maintenance: water regularly during the growth period and warm summer weeks. Remove faded flowers to keep the plant neat and encourage further blooming.

• Overwintering: the bulbs are not hardy. Dig them up before the first frost in the autumn and store them in a dry, frost-free place to replant the following spring.

• Garden or pots: suitable for both open ground in borders and in spacious pots on the patio or balcony.
