Tips and care

• Planting: plant the tubers in the spring (April to May) when the risk of night frost has passed and the soil warms up. Choose a sunny to lightly shaded spot with moist, well-drained, and nutrient-rich soil. Plant the tuber with the rounded side facing down at a depth of approximately 6 to 8 cm.

• Maintenance: water regularly during the growth and flowering period to keep the soil slightly moist. Remove faded flowers by gently pulling them off at the base of the stem for a tidy presentation.

• Overwintering: Zantedeschia is not winter hardy. Dig up the tubers in the autumn before the first night frost, let them dry, and store them in a cool, dry, and frost-free place until the following spring.

• Ground or pots: looks exceptionally beautiful in decorative pots and planters on the patio or balcony, but also combines very well in sunny borders.
