Sowing instructions:

Cosmos is a light-dependent germinator, which means the seeds should only be lightly covered with soil. If you are starting them indoors, you can place the elongated seeds vertically into the soil, leaving a portion of the seed still visible. This often works well for uniform germination. When sowing directly outdoors, you can simply scatter the seeds, press them down lightly, and keep the soil moist, but not too wet. Within 5 to 7 days, the first seeds will begin to germinate.
