Dwarf Fig (Ficus carica 'Little Miss Figgy') - 5-litre pot

'Little Miss Figgy' is a compact, bushy shrub that grows to 1 to 1.5 metres tall, making it perfectly suited for pots, balconies, or small gardens. The plant produces harvestable fruit twice a year: first in early summer and again in autumn. The figs have a deep purple skin with red flesh and have a very sweet, juicy, and honey-like flavour. The dark green, deeply incised leaves also give the plant an elegant appearance. 'Little Miss Figgy' grows best in a sunny spot with well-draining soil. The plant is hardy down to approx. –10 °C, but requires extra protection during severe frost.

Tips and care:

• Planting: because the plants are supplied in pots, they can be planted all year round. It is preferable to plant in autumn, as the soil is still warm and moist, allowing them to root well in the ground. Plants planted in autumn have a better-developed root system than plants planted only in spring.
• Open ground or pots: you can also grow all plants in pots; the larger the pot, the better they will do. They will always grow better and produce more fruit in open ground.
