Levisticum officinale, also known as lovage or maggi herb, is a powerful, aromatic plant with a flavour reminiscent of celery and broth. This organic plant is ideal for soups, stews and sauces, where a little goes a long way for a lot of flavour. Lovage is a strong, perennial plant that grows best in a sunny to semi-shaded spot in nutritious, moist but well-drained soil. It can grow quite large, making it a robust flavour enhancer and eye-catcher in the herb garden.
