Tips and care

• Planting: plant the bulbs in the spring (April to May) when the chance of night frost has passed. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and plant them about 6 to 8 cm deep.

• Maintenance: water regularly during growth and bud formation, but avoid keeping the soil too wet. Remove withered flowers for a tidy appearance.

• Overwintering: the Tiger Flower is not winter-hardy. Dig up the bulbs in the autumn before the first frost, let them dry, and store them in a cool, frost-free place until the next spring.

• Open ground or pots: looks fantastic in groups in the open ground in a sunny spot, but is also excellent for planting in decorative pots on the terrace or balcony.
