🌱 Sowing & planting

  • Sowing depth: 3 cm
  • Pre-cultivation: sow in pots of ± 12 cm under glass
  • Germination temperature: around 21 °C
  • Germination time: 🕒 7–16 days
  • Planting distance: 70 cm between rows, 20 cm between plants
  • Plant out: when the plants are about 20 cm high and the night temperatures remain around 15 °C

📅 Growing times throughout the year

  • Pre-cultivation (under glass): sow from mid-April to mid-May, plant out outside from mid-May, harvest from mid-August to mid-September.
  • In situ (open ground): sow outdoors around mid-May, harvest from late August to September.
